Can a gift create a connection, especially across generations?
That is what Microsoft set out to do.
Xbox and McCann London launched a campaign called ‘Beyond Generations’ to tackle loneliness among the elderly. The campaign shows how gaming can help different generations of families connect and bond.
The campaign features two real people who use Xbox games to go on virtual adventures together, such as road trips in Forza or sailing in Sea of Thieves. These games become a way for them to share their stories and feelings.
The campaign also encourages gamers to gift their old consoles to older relatives who might not have one, by using a ‘ReBoxing’ kit that makes it easy for them to set up and use. The campaign partners with charities that support the needs of older people, such as Age UK.

No! Not THOSE drawers, the ones where you store stuff!
You see, Giffgaff figured out that a lot of people store their phones in their drawers and forget about them.
Why did I bring this up? You see, during the festive season a lot of us buy phones and many of us don’t exchange the old ones. They simply remain unused, collecting dust.
