Chasing trends… managing a moo-dy gang… It takes a lot out of a Cool Gai!
So, this week I have decided to take a break and and be Chill Gai in the serene and magnificent hills of Uttarakhand.

Ah, this is the life!
But I can't just lay back and do nothing, this is a special edition and for a good reason!
I am here in Dehradun, the hub of education, at the one and only Dehradun Literature Festival!
The Festival will take place in the Doon International School, Riverside Campus and Hyatt Regency, Dehradun from 27th to 29th October, 2023.
This is the revamped version of the festival with a new logo, new look, new outlook!
Why am I here?
You see, Dehradun Literature Festival (DDLF) is more than just a lit fest. It’s a celebration of words, ideas, and more.
This is where the best authors and poets descend. Last year, it dazzled 30,000+ readers, and this year, it’s going all out with 50+ speakers, 70+ delegates and 35+ sessions.
It’s a festival that will enrich your mind, touch your heart, and spark your imagination. I couldn’t miss it for the world!
If you aren’t convinced yet, here are some of the highlights you can look forward to:

International Agatha Christie Foundation:
DDLF has a special treat for all the mystery lovers out there. The International Agatha Christie Foundation will be a major part of the fest! This will be the first time the Agatha Christie Foundation has come to India.

Legacy of Shivani
DDLF will also pay tribute to one of the most beloved writers of Hindi literature, Shivani. On her birth centenary, DDLF will celebrate her legacy and her contribution to the Indian literary scene.

Women’s Reproductive Health
DDLF is not afraid to break the stereotypes and challenge the norms. That’s why it has a session on women’s reproductive health by Dr Tanaya Narendra aka “Dr. Cuterus”. It will be an all-girl session where you can learn about your body, your rights, and your choices. It’s a rare chance to have an open and honest conversation about a topic that is often taboo in our society.

20 Years of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi
DDLF will also take you down the memory lane with a session on 20 years of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, a cult classic movie that changed the face of Bollywood. You can hear from the director Sudhir Mishra and the musician Swanand Kirkire about how they made this masterpiece and what it means to them today.
